Step-by-Step Instructions for Drawing a Freesia

How to Draw a Great Looking Freesia for Kids and Beginners - Step 1

1. Begin the freesia outline by enclosing a heart-shaped petal. From it, extend a pair of curved lines, forming the flower’s pistil. At the tip of the pistil, draw four narrow, “U” shaped lines - the stigma.
Drawing Step 2

2. Enclose two more petals. For each, use a pair of curved lines, and allow them to meet at gentle points. Then draw the pollen-bearing stamens. For each, draw a curved line with a teardrop shape at its tip.

Drawing Step 3

3. Enclose three more petals, one between each of the existing petals. For each, use two curved lines, and have them meet at a gentle point.
Below the flower, draw the sepals, using a curved “M” shaped line. Connect the flower to the sepals with a pair of lines.
Drawing Step 4

4. Extend a pair of lines beneath the sepals to form the stem. Then, draw another flower, partially hidden behind the first. Enclose a gently pointed petal, a teardrop-shaped stamen, and a star-shaped pistil.
Drawing Step 5

5. Enclose petals around the second flower. For each, use a pair of curved lines that meet at a gentle point.
Drawing Step 6

6. Draw a third, unopened blossom. Extend a pair of curved lines from the side of the first flower. Draw a heart-shaped sepal at its tip. Enclose two petals, each of two curved lines that meet at a gentle point.
Drawing Step 7

7. Enclose two more gently pointed petals, partially hidden behind the first. From just below the sepal, extend a pair of curved lines, forming another stem. Draw a heart-shaped sepal at its tip.
