Step-by-Step Instructions for Drawing a Grey Whale
How to Draw a Great Looking Grey Whale for Kids and Beginners - Step 1
1. Beg the grey whale outline by drawing the animal's head. Use a curved line, doubled back on itself, for the top jaw, and another for the lower jaw.
For the eye, draw a curved line and enclose a partial circle under it. Draw a small circle inside the eye and shade around it. Then, draw a short curved line above the eye.
Drawing Step 2
2. Continue the line of the lower jaw, and contour it with another curved line. Draw a short curved line at the top of the head to indicate the whale's blow hole.

3. Draw the fin using a long curved line that is doubled back on itself. Notice the scalloped edge.
Draw a short curved line near where the fin connects to the body, and texture the flipper with short lines. Then extend a long curved line from it to outline the whale's belly.
Drawing Step 4
4. Continue the line of the head to form the back. Notice how it is wavy and lumpy near the tail. Texture the skin with short lines.
Drawing Step 5
5. Draw curved lines demarcating the whale's stomach. Then finish the tail. Extend two pairs of curved lines that meet at points. Texture the tail with short lines.
Drawing Step 6
6. Texture the whale's throat with parallel curved lines.
Drawing Step 7
7. Texture the whale's belly with parallel curved lines similar to those you used on the throat.
