How to Draw a Great Looking Meerkat for Kids and Beginners - Step 1
1. Begin the cartoon meerkat outline by sketching the animal's head. Use overlapping curved lines to sketch the ears, top of the head, and snout.
Shade a rounded triangle for the nose, and draw three successively smaller circles for each eye. Shade between the two smallest.

2. Draw the neck and side of the head using curved lines. Draw a curved "V" shaped line over the eyes, between the ears.

3. From the side of the head, extend a long wavy line and double it back on itself. This will become the meerkat's arm.

4. Extend a long curved line from the opposite side of the neck. Double it back on itself, forming the remaining foreleg.

5. Draw a long curved line from the arm, outlining the belly. Use curved lines to add a furry texture to the chest and to draw claws on the paws.
