How to Draw a Great Looking Prairie Dog for Kids and Beginners - Step 1

1. Sketch a lemon shape with two ovals inside it, then draw a curve and two dashes above the eye. Add the nose with a crescent shape. Draw two curves beneath the nose and a curved line above it.

2. Outline the head with a curve, and sketch a smaller curve for the chin. Draw the ear with a diagonal line, a curve and a few dashes.

3. Use hot dog shapes for the fingers, drawing two on the left and four on the right. Draw long triangles for the claws.

4. Draw two more fingers, and complete the left hand with a curve. Between the hands, draw one curved triangle with a jagged bottom and another curve with a loose, jagged line beneath it.

5. Add lines for the neck and left wrist. Start the body with two vertical curves, then draw a pointed shape with three curved triangles. Complete the left arm with a loose, sketchy line.
