Step-by-Step Instructions for Drawing an Easy Cartoon Alien

How to Draw a Great Looking Easy Cartoon Alien for Kids and Beginners - Step 1

1. Begin the easy cartoon alien outline by drawing its head and face. Use a long curved line to nearly enclose the egg-shaped head. Use pairs of curved lines to draw the large round eyes that are gently pointed on each end. Then, give the alien a "U" shaped smiling mouth.
Drawing Step 2

2. Draw a curved line above each eye and ovals within them. From the opening at the bottom of the head, extend two lines to form the neck. From the back of the neck, draw another line to form the shoulder and arm.

Drawing Step 3

3. Draw another curved line parallel to the first, forming the other side of the arm. Then begin the waving hand. Use a pair of lines for each of the alien's fingers. Enclose them on the ends with a partial circle.
Drawing Step 4

4. Complete the fingers of the hand, and detail the palm with a curved line. Then, use two curved lines to trace the oval-shaped belly.
Drawing Step 5

5. Use a pair of curved lines to draw the remaining shoulder and arm. Use overlapping curved lines to sketch the hand resting on the hip.
Drawing Step 6

6. Complete the fingertips with partial circles. Draw a spiral-shaped belly button. Then, use curved lines to draw the bottom of the torso and the side of the leg.
Drawing Step 7

7. Continue drawing the leg and foot using curved lines. Like the fingers, the toes should terminate in a partial circle.
