Step-by-Step Instructions for Drawing an Easy Cartoon Cow

How to Draw a Great Looking Easy Cartoon Cow for Kids and Beginners - Step 1

1. Begin the easy cartoon cow outline by drawing the animal's cute face. Draw a large curved shape for the snout. Inside it, draw a wide "U" shaped line for the mouth and shade two small ovals for the nostrils.
Above it, enclose two partial ovals for the eyes. Inside each eye, draw a smaller oval and shade around it.
Drawing Step 2

2. Above the eyes, use connected, curved lines to enclose a cloudlike shape. This is a tuft of fur on top of the cow's head.
Connect the fur to the snout with curved lines. From the sides of the cow's head, extend curved lines and double them back on themselves to form the horns.

Drawing Step 3

3. Below the horns, extend another set of curved lines and double them back on themselves to form the cow's ears.
Draw a curved line to contour each ear. Draw a partial circle beneath the head and draw two pairs of lines from it to the snout. This will become a collar with a bell.
Drawing Step 4

4. Use a curved line to enclose the irregular shape of the cowbell. Draw a curved line across the bottom of the bell, and enclose a half-circle underneath it.
Then draw a curved line from the side of the collar to the bell.
Drawing Step 5

5. For each leg, draw a long curved line and double it back on itself.
Notice how the legs get smaller just above the hooves, and they are flattened on the bottom. Band each leg with a curved line, then use another curved line for the belly.
Drawing Step 6

6. Use a long curved line to draw the cow's back and rear leg. Band the leg with a curved line in the narrow spot just above the hoof.
Drawing Step 7

7. Use a series of curved lines to enclose the udder and the remaining rear foot. Band the narrow part of the leg with a curved line.
