Step-by-Step Instructions for Drawing Princess Zelda

How to Draw a Great Looking Princess Zelda for Kids and Beginners - Step 1

How to Draw Princess Zelda Step 1

1. Begin by outlining Zelda's face. Use two long, curved lines to form the cheeks and sides of the face. Extend two more lines downward to form the neck. Draw a long, curved line across the top of the face, and double it back upon itself to form the bands. Draw curved lines on each side of the face, and connect them using a short line that meets the other at a sharp point. This indicates Zelda's hair.

Between the pentagons, draw a larger, inverted pentagon. Draw another smaller, parallel pentagon within it. Finally, Draw a "V" shaped line at the bottom of the pentagon to give it a three-dimensional appearance.

"All shadows must eventually meet the light."
- Princess Zelda

Princess Zelda is the title character of the Zelda video game series, which debuted in 1986. She is often a "damsel in distress" who must be rescued by the game's protagonist, Link.

At times, she takes on a more active role. She was named after the American novelist Zelda Fitzgerald, wife of the famed novelist F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Did you know? The game's Triforce emblem could be based on the real-life symbol of the Japanese Hojo clan, a powerful family of the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. There are also a number of shrines in Japan that use this symbol.
