How to Draw a Fennec Fox

1. Begin the fennec fox outline by drawing the animal’s face. Use two curved lines to sketch each of the almond-shaped eyes.

Notice that the lines do not meet at the corners. Then, shade a circle inside each eye. Enclose a small oval for the nose, and draw a rounded “W” shaped snout around it.

2. Outline the sides and top of the fox’s face. Use curved lines, some of which meet in the jagged points of fur. Contour the brows, nose, and lower lip with short curved lines.

3. Use long curved lines to enclose the rounded triangular ears. Draw a long curved line across each ear, and jagged lines at the bottom.

4. Draw the chest and shoulders, using a series of jagged, furry lines. Use a long curved line for the front of the foreleg, and short, overlapping lines for the paw.

5. Use a long curved line to complete the leg. Add the texture of fur to the top of the leg, using jagged lines. Then, use overlapping lines to draw the belly and begin the remaining foreleg.

6. Use a long curved line and short, overlapping curved lines to finish the foreleg. Then, use a series of lines to draw the belly, the top of the rear leg, and the furry texture on one side of it.

7. Use a long curved line for the animal’s back and a series of short lines for the rear paws and their furry texture.

8. Texture the final paw with a series of connected curved lines. Use similar lines to enclose the fox’s furry tail.

9. Texture the ears, chest, and tail tip with jagged, furry lines. Extend three long curved lines from each side of the snout to indicate the whiskers.
