1. Begin the peacock feather outline by drawing the shaft or rachis. Draw two long, curved lines. Allow them to meet at a sharp point on one end, and connect them with a short line on the other.
Then, draw pairs of curved lines of different lengths that meet at sharp points.

3. Draw more barbs on both sides of the shaft. Again, use pairs of curved lines of different lengths. Allow each pair to meet at a sharp point.
