Step-by-Step Instructions for Drawing a Tuberose

How to Draw a Great Looking Tuberose for Kids and Beginners - Step 1

1. Start with four loose teardrop shapes similar to the petals in a cartoon sunflower drawing. Make the petals overlap for realism.
Drawing Step 2

2. Outline two more petals on the left, then sketch a vertical teardrop shape and a short dash to the right.
Add a heart that overlaps one football shape and one half-football shape. Draw sketchy tufts inside the flower like animal fur.

3. Complete the flower that you started in step two with three loose teardrop shapes and another tuft in the center.
Sketch a teardrop over the first tuberose drawing, then connect the flowers with two vertical lines.
Drawing Step 4

4. For the next flower, sketch three wide football shapes like you're learning how to draw a jasmine flower. Add a narrow teardrop to the right and two lines that connect the shapes.
Drawing Step 5

5. Sketch three more petals and a tuft in the center for your third easy tuberose drawing. Draw the stem with two vertical lines and teardrop-shaped leaves. The leaves should overlap the stem.
Drawing Step 6

6. Sketch three vertical lines near the highest flower. To the right, draw two lines attached to the stem, then sketch two more football shapes.
Draw the long leaf with a tall, swooping curve that ends in a point, comes upright and goes down again to attach the shape to the plant.
Drawing Step 7

7. Add four petals to the fourth flower. Next, sketch two leaves near the top of the stem. Draw the bulbs with two lemon shapes, and connect them to the leaves with curved lines.

Color Your Tuberose Drawing

Color the stem, leaves and buds in light green with yellow for the tufts inside the flowers. Delicately shade the petals with light gray so that they appear three-dimensional but still white.
