How to Draw a Great Looking Capybara for Kids and Beginners - Step 1
1. Begin the cartoon capybara outline by drawing its face. Use a long curved line for the top of its head and front of its snout. Then draw an "L" shaped line overlapping the front of the snout.
Draw a teardrop shape for the nostril and a half-circle for the eye. Shade a half-circle inside the eye, and contour the brow with a short line.

2. Use "C" shaped lines for the small ears and a series of jagged, curved lines for the hair on the top of the head and along the cheeks. Use curved lines to detail inside the near ear.

3. Use a series of curved lines to draw the back of the neck and the chest, and to texture the side of the neck.

4. Draw another series of furry lines that meet at jagged points, and extend the chest into the belly.
Then, use long curved lines that double back at the ends to draw the leg and paw. Enclose a claw at the end of each toe.

5. Draw the remaining foreleg. Use a long curved line for the front of the leg and jagged, furry lines for the back of the leg.
Use overlapping curved lines for the toes, and enclose a rounded, triangular claw at the end of each toe.

6. Extend a long curved line from the back of the neck, outlining the back. Draw short lines at the hip to indicate a furry texture.

7. From the hip, draw a zig-zag line, indicating fur. Then, enclose the round shapes of toes protruding beneath the furry body. Draw a curved claw at the end of each toe.

8. Use a series of overlapping curved lines to complete the belly, fully enclosing the outline. Draw the toes and claws of the remaining foot. Texture the haunches and belly with closely spaced short, curved lines.
