How to Draw a Great Looking Kookaburra for Kids and Beginners - Step 1

1. Begin the cartoon kookaburra outline by drawing its large beak. Enclose a curved triangle.

Then, outline the eye using curved lines. Shade a circle inside it. Draw a series of short, curved lines that meet at jagged points above the eye.

2. Use curved lines to enclose the triangular bottom of the beak. Shade a small teardrop shape on the top to indicate the nostril.

3. Use a series of curved lines that meet at points followed by a long curved line to sketch the bird's chest and belly. Contour the base of the head and the chest with connected, curved lines.
