1. Begin the cartoon platypus outline by drawing its duck like bill. Use a wavy line for the top of the bill and a large "U" shaped line for the remainder of it.
Then, use two short, curved lines to indicate the nostrils at the tip of the bill.

2. Next, draw the platypus's eyes. Draw two curved lines, indicating the cheeks, and enclose a partial oval shape above each line. Draw a small circle within each oval and shade around it.

3. Draw curved lines from the sides of the bill, outlining the round head.

4. Sketch the animal's leg and webbed foot. Use a long curved line for the side of the leg. Below it, enclose two small, rounded triangles - these are the claws.
Connect the leg, claws, and face with curved lines, enclosing the foot. Detail the top of the foot with short lines.
