How to Draw a Great Looking Easy Valentine's Day Rose for Kids and Beginners - Step 1

1. Begin the easy Valentine's Day rose outline by drawing the first of the blossom's petals. Use two overlapping curved lines to draw a shape like an incomplete number 8.
Then, draw another curved line across the figure to separate the individual petals.

2. Use a series of three overlapping curved lines to complete the tops of the petals, completely enclosing the rosebud drawing.

3. Inside the central petal, draw a spiral-shaped line and a "Y" shaped line to indicate even more petals.
