Step-by-Step Instructions for Drawing an Enchanted Forest

How to Draw a Great Looking Enchanted Forest for Kids and Beginners - Step 1

Enchanted Forest step-by-step drawing tutorial: step 1

1. Can you see the forest for the trees? Begin the enchanted forest outline by drawing an enormous tree. Use curved lines for the sides of its trunk, its curved triangular roots, and the "Y" shaped branches.

Drawing Step 2

2. Draw a treehouse at the top of the tree. Draw two rectangles for its foundation. Enclose circles at the top corners of the rectangle. Sketch a "V" shaped roof above it.

Connect the roof to the foundation with curved lines, and enclose a rectangular door. Then, use a series of curved lines to enclose a cloudlike bunch of leaves at the end of each tree limb.

3. Draw more branches behind the treehouse. Detail the front with arched windows and a round doorknob.

Use curved lines to draw a spiraling path around the tree, erasing as necessary. Draw an oval with a line across it on the front of the tree to form a hole.

Drawing Step 4

4. Band the spiral with straight lines to turn it into a staircase.

Use curved lines that meet at jagged points to draw grass and a path through the forest. Place two curved lines above one tuft of grass to begin drawing a large mushroom.

Drawing Step 5

5. Complete the first mushroom drawing by sketching two successively larger half-circle-shaped caps. Decorate the cap with oval-shaped spots.

Then, draw a smaller mushroom. Start with the grass, the stem, the ring, and the cap.

6. Texture the mushroom's rings with curved lines and draw dots on the second mushroom's cap. Then, draw many more trees with leafy crowns in the background.

7. Draw more trees in the distance. Complete the nearest tree, drawing more branches and leaves.

Then, draw an owl sitting on the branch. Use curved lines for the feet, head and body, wings, and chest feathers. For the eyes, draw circles within circles and shade the smaller ones.

8. Draw even more trees in the background. Texture the bark of the nearest trees with curved lines. Draw a tuft of grass in the path and small mushrooms in the foreground.

9. Use curved lines to indicate the thick canopy of the trees. Then draw small flowers in the grass. Use a circle for the flower's center and "U" shaped lines for the petals. Enclose a few irregular rocks in the path.
